Words cannot express the ecstasy I'm feeling right now.

That is all I have to say about that.

So, it's a little odd to be back "home" in DC.  I feel half like I'm at home, and half like I'm a guest.  Echoes of the past coincide with the now unfamiliar that developed while I was away.  It's not nearly as disorienting as it was months ago, I think because I have defined more where my home is now.  But I still hole myself up in my sister's room - one of the last bastions of status quo - hiding from my inability to find utensils in the kitchen and my lack of bedroom.

All the same, there is a fondness for the place I grew up in and I wouldn't mind spending more time here.  Alas, life calls.  There's never enough time to savor.

You know, I think the one thing I never say is that I wish people would prove me wrong.

I know you won't make the effort for the friendship to work, but I want you to prove me wrong so badly. 

I wonder how much longer until this hope dies.
